No problem. Thanks for joining the community. Tight lines!
Went out to Ocean Beach just north of Florence and last Friday 8/20 and caught 5 Red Tail perch. Should of had more but I kept missing the bites. No joke in the last 2 weeks I've been surf fishing I've missed at least 20+ bites. I know its sad. 2 Fridays ago 8/13 I caught 7 Red Tail, so the last 2 weeks have been really good.
Frist thank you for accepting me I'm new to surf fishing planning to go today. Can you fish for red tail at low incoming tide
Hi Doublegregg, just stick with short casts with short leaders first, then get longer as you get more experience. You'll suck at fishing first few months but you'll get better. When you want to take a break from saltwater and learn to catch Shad on the Willamette river in June, give me a email: huynhnghi@gmail.com, you'll catch 5-20 in a day with nice weather and no waders.

Wondering if you have a 3rd recommendation for a surf perching rod. The Cabelas is not made anymore. The Okuma Celilo 9’6” Rod is on back order. Not sure when it will be available. Do you have another rod you would recommend?

The 9'6" seems available again on Amazon. There's also a 10 foot one. The 8'6" in medium light also works well.

Thanks! I finally got the one I ordered from Amazon. Took over a month but happy to finally get it.

Hey PK. I came across your videos about a year ago when I first moved to the WA coast. I had never gone crabbing or clamming, and was (and still) an amature fisherman. I sure have learned a lot from you. Thanks a lot. I sure enjoy watching you cook your catch. Again, thank you.
